This workshop demonstrates the import of a GDS file of an interposer structure into the IC mode of Ansys HFSS 3D Layout in Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT)™ electronics systems design platform. You will learn to use control files to assist the GDS import as well as how to set up the model for simulation.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Step through a typical GDS import process.
- Understand the basics of .map and .xml control files to assist the GDS import.
- Understand selected layout editing features of Ansys HFSS 3D Layout IC mode.
- Perform port setup and simulation of a GDS import

- Completion of Getting Started with Ansys HFSS Software course
