This course provides a thorough understanding of Gutin Noise Modeling within the field of Aeroacoustics. This course begins with an introduction to the Gutin Noise Model; a method designed for predicting tonal noise using steady-state Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in a rotating reference frame. The model’s origin and formulation are examined through the Ffowcs Williams–Hawkings (FW-H) equations, along with its implementation using Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software.
The course then moves to practical applications, providing a detailed workshop on selecting suitable parameters for Gutin Noise modeling. This structured approach ensures that you can confidently apply the Gutin Noise Model to real-world aeroacoustics challenges, enhancing your practical and theoretical knowledge in this specialized area.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Develop a strong understanding of the fundamental theory and application of the Gutin Noise Model in aeroacoustics.
- Confidently follow and apply the workflow for computing Gutin Noise Model solutions.
- Implement Gutin Noise Model in a practical scenario involving a four-bladed fan using Ansys Fluent software.
Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in the 2024R2 release.
