Why SCADE Is a Perfect Fit for DO-178C Applications

Overview
When developing safety-critical software, confidence in generated code is essential, but so is minimizing the verification effort required to certify it. This webinar explains how SCADE Suite KCG enables both.
The session presents a technical safety argument demonstrating that code generated by SCADE Suite KCG preserves the semantics and safety properties of the verified SCADE model. The argument is based on three complementary pillars: the formal foundations of the Scade 6 language, the validation strategy of the code generator, and its TQL-1 qualification.
Attendees will learn how Scade 6, a synchronous, deterministic, and strongly typed modeling language derived from Lustre and Esterel, inherently supports the development of safety-critical applications. Its extensive semantic and static analyses ensure model correctness before code generation can proceed.
The webinar will also review how SCADE Suite KCG is designed to preserve model behavior and how its validation approach provides evidence that the generated code faithfully implements the verified model.
Finally, the presentation examines the qualification status of SCADE Suite KCG against major industry standards including DO-178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and EN 50716 as well as its extensive deployment across aerospace, railway, automotive, and nuclear programs.
Join us to discover how organizations can focus verification activities primarily at the model level while maintaining confidence that generated code preserves the verified behavior of the original SCADE design.
What Attendees Will Learn
- What are the key safety properties of the Scade language and the generated code?
- How does SCADE Suite KCG ensure that the automatically generated code preserves the behavior of the SCADE model?
- How is SCADE Suite KCG validated and qualified for use in safety-critical development?
- Which code-level verification activities can be reduced or eliminated when using SCADE Suite KCG?
Who Should Attend
Software Architects and Lead Engineers, Verification & Validation Engineers, Certification and Assurance Engineers, Organizations adopting or evaluating automatic code generation for aerospace, automotive, railway, industrial, nuclear, or other safety-critical systems.
