width=This course covers the comprehensive understanding of turbulent flows and their models. It begins with the exploration of turbulent boundary layer flows, where learners get to understand the integral solution for these flows using the momentum integral equation. For instance, the course explains the Prandtl von Karman model's application, which was the first to solve this solution. The course then transitions to the concept of internal turbulent flows, focusing on the universal velocity profile and its application in turbulent flows. For example, learners will understand the calculation of hydraulic diameter and Reynolds number. Lastly, the course delves into turbulence models in fluid dynamics, such as Prandtl's mixing length hypothesis, Spallard Almaras model, and two-equation models. This part of the course, for instance, explains how to derive the equation for turbulent kinetic energy and the dissipation rate of this energy.
