This workshop will demonstrate how to set up and solve a Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) with radiation case on an automotive headlight geometry.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Set up and solve a Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) with radiation problem.
  • Set up the Discrete Ordinates (DO) Radiation model to solve the CHT simulation problem.
  • Apply boundary conditions and choose appropriate solution stabilization method for CHT with radiation cases.
  • Create and patch cell zones with certain value of temperature.
  • Create report definitions, report files and plots to visualize the solution. 
  • Set up and create contours and vectors for visualizing the solution.

  • Ansys Fluent Beyond the Basics
