The workshop provides a hands-on guide to integrating Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software with Ansys Icepak® electronics cooling simulation software for process integration and design optimization. You will learn how to set up and analyze an optiSLang project within the Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT)™ electronics systems design platform using Optimetrics, with a focus on optimizing thermal and electromagnetic performance.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

    • Understand the installation and licensing requirements for optiSLang and configure it within AEDT.
    • Create and configure optiSLang setups in AEDT Optimetrics, including defining parameters and responses.
    • Use the optiSLang Analysis wizard to perform sensitivity analysis and optimize design parameters.
    • Execute multiple Icepak simulations, monitor progress, and interpret results.
    • Generate and analyze post-processing results, including 3D scatter plots and Coefficient of Prognosis (CoP) matrices.
    • Export projects to optiSLang for further detailed analysis and custom design workflows.
