width=This course covers the fundamental aspects of two-phase flow and heat transfer from a molecular perspective. It provides a comprehensive understanding of multi-phase flow, boiling heat transfer, condensation heat transfer, solid-liquid flow, and gas-solid flow. For instance, it's like understanding how water molecules interact with each other and how these interactions influence the flow and heat transfer in a system. The course also delves into the differences between pool boiling and flow boiling, drop wise and film condensation, and different regimes of solid liquid slurry flow. It further explains how to calculate pressure drops inside a pipe carrying slurry flow, both in laminar and turbulent regimes, and how to characterize a particle suspended in gas.

This course has been developed by Dr. Arup Kumar Das from IIT Delhi for NPTEL. It is now accessible through Ansys Innovation Space courtesy of the partnership between Ansys and NPTEL, under the CC BY-SA license. For more details, visit https://nptel.ac.in/courses/112107207.
