In addition to Motor-CAD standard geometry templates and adaptive templates (see the Adaptive Templates tutorial), Ansys Motor-CAD® dedicated electric motor design tool for multiphysics simulation allows the user to model the performance of the machine with a custom imported geometry in the DXF format. This tutorial demonstrates how to model a machine with a custom geometry.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

    • Understand how to import and use custom machine geometries in DXF format within Ansys Motor-CAD software for performance modeling.
    • Learn the workflow for creating machine models using custom imported geometries as an alternative to standard and adaptive geometry templates.
    • Gain the ability to analyze and simulate machine performance in Ansys Motor-CAD software using user-defined geometry configurations.
