Mixing Tank Optimization with Ansys Fluent in Ansys optiSLang Software

You will get an overview about the usage of connecting Ansys optiSLang® process integration and design optimization software and Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software in the Ansys optiSLang software application with the Text-Based-Integration nodes. We use the well-known Ansys Fluent Tutorial of a Static Mixer or Mixing Tank (which is slightly adopted) to show a Sensitivity Analysis, and a Single-Objective Optimization.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this tutorial, you will be able to:

• Use Ansys Fluent journals to generate and Usage of Simulation results from Ansys Fluent like signals and pictures in the Postprocessing.
• Use the Sensitivity and Optimization Wizards in Ansys optiSLang software to set up the Algorithms in Ansys Workbench platform.
• Be able to conduct an Optimization on the MOP.
• Explain information of the Postprocessing for Sensitivity and Optimization.

Prerequisites:

You should be familiar with:

• Basic knowledge about optiSLang is recommended which can be obtained by completing the Ansys optiSLang Getting Started  course.
• Besides Ansys optiSLang, you should be familiar with Ansys Fluent (Ansys Fluent Getting Started: Basics course) and specifically with using Parameters.
