Fundamentals of Wave Propagation

Wave propagation describes the way in which wave travels. This learning track introduces the basic principles behind electromagnetic wave propagation. We will begin with a discussion of Maxwell's equations to describe the propagating electromagnetic wave. We will then discuss the theory of transmission lines and cover the basic characteristics of commonly used transmission lines and matching networks. Later, this learning track covers the multiport network analysis methods and scattering (S)- parameters.
