FEA with Composites for Student Teams

Ansys

Category: Tag:

Overview

Student teams widely use fiber-reinforced composites in various challenges. Whether you are designing a formula student race car, building a rocket, developing a drone, or setting out for new shores with a new sailing boat, improving your design's strength, stiffness, and weight will always be one of the most important considerations. In this webinar, we will present to you how you can use our dedicated composite modeling tool, Ansys Composites PrePost (ACP) in Ansys Mechanical, to define fiber orientation and lay-up definition in your design, and perform FE analysis, predict performance, analyze reliability and potential failures.

What attendees will learn

  • Create complex shell and solid composite models with appropriate fiber orientation and lay-up definition
  • Perform FE analysis on composite models and post-process results specific to composites (such as failure criteria)

Who should attend

All student competition teams
