Dam Breakup – VOF Adaption (Workshop)

This workshop will demonstrate mesh adaption in VOF cases.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Set up and run a transient multiphase simulation for flow of water due to Dam breakup.
• Set up VOF multiphase model involving dynamic mesh adaption for transient simulation cases.
• Apply boundary conditions and choose appropriate solution stabilization method for VOF multiphase cases.
• Set up Dynamic Mesh Adaption of a VOF interface and patch cell registers.
• Set up and create animations for visualizing transient fluid flow.

Prerequisites:

• Completion of Ansys Fluent Getting Started: Basics is recommended.
• Completion of Ansys Fluent Getting Started: Beyond the Basics is recommended.
