Coupling Ansys Motor-CAD Software Lab with Ansys Maxwell Software for Induction Machines

This tutorial describes how to setup a model in Ansys Motor-CAD® dedicated electric motor design tool for multi-physics simulation lab to be built using the Ansys Maxwell® advanced electromagnetic field solver and how to further post-process it. The tutorial leverages an Ansys Maxwell design created through export of an Ansys Motor-CAD model, but the process is applicable also to models generated directly in Ansys Maxwell software.

Following completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

• • Export and integrate induction machine models between Ansys Motor-CAD Lab and Ansys Maxwell software for advanced electromagnetic analysis.
  • Create and calibrate a Ansys Maxwell-based Lab model using high-fidelity simulation results.
  • Apply electromagnetic and loss modeling techniques to improve machine performance predictions.
  • Evaluate machine performance through efficiency, loss, and performance maps generated from Ansys Maxwell simulation data.
