In this workshop, you will delve into the application of Ansys Fluent® fluid simulation software’s Discrete Phase Model (DPM) and the multiple reaction combustion model to setup a particle surface reaction model. The purpose of this simulation is to capture CO₂ in a gas stream. 

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand and apply the Species Transport model to set up gas and particle species. 
  • Utilize the DPM model to introduce the sorbent. 
  • Set the flow boundary conditions and injection properties. 
  • Utilize the multiple-surface-reaction model to set up particle surface reactions. 
  • Analyze the simulation results using pathlines, vectors and particle tracks.

  • Ansys Fluent Beyond the Basics
