CFD Tips and Tricks for Students

Ansys

Category: Tag:

Overview

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the science of using computers to predict liquid and gas flows based on the governing equations of conservation of mass, momentum and energy. Through CFD, we can analyze, understand and predict the fluids that make up nearly every part of our world. Thus, it is of utmost importance for nearly every graduate from Mechanical or Aerospace engineering to have a basic understanding of CFD simulations and how it works.
This webinar is tailored specially for beginners - we will discuss basics of simulations, governing equations and their discretization techniques, meshing and associated best practices, setting up appropriate boundary conditions and the tips and tricks for reducing computational time and finally some aspects of post processing including flow visualization.

What Attendees Will Learn

Attendees will leave with actionable insights to improve their CFD skills, helping them tackle complex problems with confidence. We will cover:

  • Pre-processing: Model setup, boundary conditions, meshing, etc.
  • Post-processing: Result validation and interpretation
  • Simulation best practices

Who Should Attend

Students from Mechanical and Aerospace engineering are highly encouraged to attend to get their simulation journey started. The knowledge gained can be easily expanded further to sharpen their computational skills and make them industry ready for various professional roles.
