Automated Analysis and Optimization of Multi-Physics + Optics (STOP) Leveraging Machine Learning
Overview
In this workshop, we will leverage Ansys optiSLang to automate an optomechanical workflow by coupling Ansys Mechanical & Ansys Zemax for analysis of non-uniform deformation and temperature distributions affecting the optical performance. We will also explore how we can leverage training "meta-models" to reduce the computation necessary for optimization/tolerancing by orders of magnitude.
What Attendees Will Learn:
- Introduce preparing/parameterizing an Ansys Mechanical model for export to Zemax
- Learn how to import Mechanical FEA data into Zemax STAR and perform STOP analysis
- Understand STAR data loading with the Zemax ZOS-API
- Automate the data exchange between Mechanical and Zemax using Ansys optiSLang
- Explore features in Ansys optiSLang including optimization, robustness analysis, and training meta-models
