Ansys HFSS Mesh Fusion

This course explores the technical background, setup, and applications of the HFSS Meshing, including Mesh Fusion and Mesh Assembly features in Ansys HFSS™ high-frequency electromagnetic simulation software. In this course, HFSS Mesh Fusion setup is covered using Mesh Envelope and Mesh Region approaches.

Learning Outcomes:

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand how Mesh Fusion works in Ansys HFSS software.
• Know when to use Mesh Region and Mesh Envelope approaches in Mesh Fusion.
• Setup Mesh Envelope and Mesh Region simulation for surface mount Inductor on a generic PCB.

Prerequisites:

• Ansys HFSS Getting Started course or equivalent experience and familiarity with Ansys HFSS software workflow, solution setup, report generation and mesh plotting.
• Ansys HFSS 3D Components, Boundary Conditions, Ports and Mesh course or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of 3D Components and Mesh Assembly.

Please note: These training materials were developed and tested in 2021 R2 release. However, due to kernel change, simulation files compatible from 2025R1 version are also provided.
