This course covers 3D Components in Ansys HFSS™ high-frequency electromagnetic simulation software. 3D Components’ hierarchical modeling and coordinate systems are examined in this course. This course also contains workshops covering topics - creation of HFSS 3D component, import of 3D component and its placement using local coordinate systems.
Learning Outcomes:
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Choose and specify coordinate systems in 3D Components.
- Create 3D component of an imported CAD geometry.
- Import 3D Component geometry, position, and orient it relative to the global origin.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of Getting Started with Ansys HFSS Software or equivalent knowledge of the HFSS project manager, 3D modeler tree, plotting of S-parameter simulation results, and workflow for setting up basic simulations.
- Knowledge of microwave principles including scattering parameters (S-parameters) and transmission line principles.
