      This could be due to non-manifold features in the model. Non-manifold feature are have zero thickness( Example: A cylinder just touching to the cube on a cylindrical face has line contact. If these two bodies are merged it will have zero thickness where the two bodies were touching each other). Such bodies are invalid in mechanical but can be read/repaired in SCDM.
