Why is this error – “The ESURF command can produce only line or area elements” ?

      Please check that you have defined that Element Type (Contact and Target elements) already and you are not missing to activate the shell element type (TYPE and other commands to activate current element attributes). That is why ESURF didn’t work since your active element type was probably a solid or some other element type.
