Why does Mechanical APDL give the error, ” Element xxxx has a radius/thickness ratio of xxxxxx. This violates assumption of shell element” even after turning off shape checking SHPP, OFF?

The reason of this error seems caused by very warped elements. The shell element radius to thickness ratio check is not controlled via the SHPP command. This is a message that is not part of the element shape checking logic, so the SHPP command will have no effect on its behavior. The workaround is to modify those shell elements until they meet the requirement or check the warping quality.
