We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

What is the default wall boundary used in ANSYS AIM when Stress-strain model is set to inviscid?

A Viscous analysis involves a solution of the full Navier-Stokes equations whereas an Inviscid analysis ignores all viscous effects. With the Inviscid option, the default wall boundary condition, even if it is not displayed, is free slip: -Zero wall shear stress -Zero normal wall velocity: no penetration -Non-zero tangential velocity as the velocity of the fluid near the wall is not retarded by wall friction effects.
