The Adjoint computation follows the same mesh requirements as the CFD calculation: –Orthogonal Quality ≥ 0.05 –Skewness < 0.94 That being said, the impact of low mesh quality on the Adjoint computation can be significant, it is in particular more sensitive Orthogonal Quality than the flow solution. This can lead to divergence and/or oscillations of the Adjoint residuals occurring. In addition, the morphing can also result in highly skewed cells, negative cells and decreased mesh quality can be the result. If the mesh contains cells with low quality, you can fix it by: --Remeshing with Fluent. --Improve mesh quality in Fluent by auto node move feature. --Use another tool like Fluent Meshing / Tgrid, ICEM
