      The issue is APDL and IBUS do not play nicely together. A quick way to work around this for now is to change the XMODIFIERS environment variable prior to launch. For instance in CentOS/RHEL/BASH: export XMODIFIERS=”@im=none” Then launcher the APDL Launcher and you should now be able to type in the text fields. For completeness, you will encounter the issue if XMODIFIERS is set to “@im=ibus”.
