Saving, Importing and Exporting User Settings

The User settings in Discovery SpaceClaim and Discovery Live might require frequent alterations to cater to the modelling requirements such as change of units type or change of drawing sheet detailing etc.
The below steps will guide you to export and import your user settings from different versions or different sessions of Discovery SpaceClaim so that it is convenient and does not have to be manually changed each time.
- Go to ‘SpaceClaim/Live options’ from ‘File’ in Discovery SpaceClaim or Discovery Live.
- Under ‘Advanced’, on the right side, you have ‘Export User Settings'(refer image). Clicking on this will create a ‘user.config’ file.
- Open Discovery SpaceClaim/Live and again in ‘SpaceClaim/Live options’ > ‘Advanced’, click on ‘Import user settings’  (refer image) and choose the ‘user.config’ file saved in the previous step.
You may have to re-start Discovery SpaceClaim/ Live for the settings to apply.
