In Ansys Discovery 2024R2 has a lot of new capabilities which help you in post-processing results more efficiently. One of such features is results on multiple cut plane which can significantly enhance post-processing by analyzing different cross-sections of your model. This can be particularly useful for identifying and analyzing variations in physical quantities like temperature or velocity across various parts of the model.
Moreover, when comparing different simulation cases, such as in CFD post-processing, multiple cut planes allow for a side-by-side comparison of results, which can be crucial for case studies and design optimization.
Here’s how you can create multiple cut planes in Ansys Discovery and analyze the results.
First you need to create planes to visualize the results on, navigate to the design tab and create planes. You can use Move tool to change the position of the planes as required. Ensure that you have Contours active from the result arc and you should be able to visualize the results on the cut planes. You can choose to hide or show the results on planes from the structure tree.
