POLYMAN – multiple entries for output files involving prefixes such as res, uns, etc.

In POLYMAN, files whose prefix contains a character string usually attributed as suffixe, may have multiple entries in the file tree. For example, if the prefix of an output fieldview filename contains the string “res”, then POLYMAN recognizes it as FieldView files AND as a POLYFLOW result file! A hierarchy on the filters applied to filenames cannot be defined. The best recommendation is that prefixes should not contain strings of characters such as “dat”, “msh”, “res”, “rst”, “uns”, etc., which are used for identifying the type of file.
