Is it possible to force the software to assign the default material to every new component of the geometry?

      Yes, it is possible. In previous Ansys releases, whenever a new component was added in the Geometry, the Default Material was automatically assigned to it. This is not valid starting from release 19.1. Now this setting needs to be manually activated with the following procedure: 1. In Workbench mechanical, click on Geometry; 2. In the window of Details of Geometry, switch to “Yes” for the “Assign Default Material” within the Update Option. Please check attached self-explanatory document.
