      If ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite 2020R1 is installed in the same directory as 2019R2 or 2019R3, the ANSYS License Manager must be updated to version 2020R1. Otherwise, the local installation of ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite 2019R2 and 2019R3 will encounter license errors. Error Message includes: FlexNet Licensing error: -83 Version of vendor daemon is too old. As a workaround for this problem, please download the attachment and extract the files. Copy the ‘Shared Files’ or ‘shared_files’ directory to the version specific installation directory. Example once copied to installation: C:Program FilesAnsysEMAnsysEM19.4Shared Files C:Program FilesAnsysEMAnsysEM19.5Shared Files /opt/AnsysEM/AnsysEM19.4/shared_files /opt/AnsysEM/AnsysEM19.5/shared_files You will need to copy your ansyslmd.ini file from the existing directory into the new structure. Example: C:Program FilesAnsysEMShared FilesLicensingansyslmd.ini to C:Program FilesAnsysEMAnsysEM19.4Shared FilesLicensingansyslmd.ini or FilesAnsysEMAnsysEM19.5Shared FilesLicensingansyslmd.ini /opt/AnsysEM/shared_files/Licensing/ansyslmd.ini to /opt/AnsysEM/AnsysEM19.4/shared_files/licensing/ansyslmd.ini or /opt/AnsysEM/AnsysEM19.5/shared_files/licensing/ansyslmd.ini Please note, this workaround may be removed once the license server machine has upgraded to ANSYS License Manager 2020R1.
