In a Non-adiabatic PDF calculation for a non-premixed combustion model, I am specifying an inlet temperature of 290 K but when I report the area weighted average of the temperature on the inlet I observe a higher temperature of 300K. How do I resolve this?

In a non-premixed combustion model one needs to specify the minimum temperature for the PDF table calculation. This is specified in the “Table” tab in the species transport panel after you switch on the Nonpremixed combustion model. The minimum temperature specified here should be at least 20-30º less than the minimum temperature in the system. Meaning it should be such that the PDF table captures the whole range of temperatures for a mixture fraction. In the present scenario the minimum PDF temperature might be specified as higher than the Inlet temperature of 290 K. On the contrary it should be less than 290 K or lower than the minimum temperature input in the system. Correcting this setting would report the accurate temperature value at the inlet.
