How to split a body in SpaceClaim and keep the intersecting face? I am creating a geometry in SpaceClaim v 19.2. I want to split a small body from a larger one, discard it, and retain an imprint of the connecting face for boundary conditions. When I split the body, however, any trace of the connection disappears, so I cannot apply my boundary conditions to the intersection. Are there some steps I can take to keep the intersection, but also get rid of the smaller body?

This can be accomplished with a combination of Split body and Share Topology: 1. Split the body the usual way, but keep both parts. 2. Go to the Workbench Tab and Share the bodies (this will create the intersection) 3. In the Model tree, right-click the body you don’t want to keep and either delete or Suppress for Physics. This will leave you with the larger body and an imprinted face of its intersection with the smaller body 4. Add a Group (Named Selection) for the intersection face so that it will be picked up by Meshing. Note that Fluent Meshing will ignore this new face unless it is assigned a named selection!
