How to resolve “meshing algorithm can not find matching topology” error when meshing cyclic symmetric geometry?

Keywords: cyclic symmetry, meshing, matching topology This error messages shows up typically because the low and high faces of cyclic symmetry are not the same. Meshing cyclic symmetric model requires the low and high faces to be identical. These faces must have same area, same number of vertices and edge length. You can use “show vertices” in toolbar to display vertices and double check if low and high faces are exactly the same. The other workaround could be applying different mesh controls to see if that will get round the issue – e.g. apply mesh based defeaturing to gloss over the differences
