It occurs that every ANSYS tools are closed, but the license is still showing as checked out. In this case, a machine reboot will make the license free, but it is also possible to kill the process manually (in the Task Manager for Windows for example) to make the license free. The attached pdf shows how to find the process to kill using the ANSYS License Management Center.
