  3. How does one do a coupled HF emag – thermal – structural analysis using MAPDL? The HF emag analysis is modal… the surface losses from the calculated eigen vector are to be scaled by a known scale factor, then applied to a thermal model. Temperatures from the thermal model are then used in a structural model to calculate thermally induced stresses. The coupling between each discipline need only be “one-way” – thermal “feedback” from the thermal model into the HF emag model will not be necessary.
