We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

When using the “fixed values” option for a cell zone in Fluent, velocity will usually remain fixed, but will diverge in some cases. By giving a momentum source, you can achieve a more stable calculation. The procedure is explained below: 1. Separate the cell zone you want to fix the velocity either in meshing or in Fluent 2. In Fluent, click DefineCell Zone Conditions and edit the require cell zone. Set Source TermsX Momentum (x-if you want to fix the x-velocity) Use the following formula: M = U · U · S · ρ / V U = Velocity you want to fix S = The cross-sectional area of the cell zone (m^2) ρ = Density of the fluid (kg/m^3) V = Volume of the cell zone (m^3) M = Momentum source (N/M^3)
