How do I request ANSYS Mechanical to use more number of cores for solution?

      To increase the number of cores, in Mechanical go to Tools menu -> Solve Process Setting -> Advanced. In Advanced options, specify the number of cores. One can also make a selection running the model in shared or distributed memory mode by unchceking or checing the option for distributing the solution.
