Most messages in the Physics Message Window in CFX-Pre can be suppressed by right-clicking on the message and choosing “Suppress This Message”. This is useful if you understand the message and its implications, do not wish to take action to correct it, and want to remove it from the Physics Message Window. However, a few messages cannot be suppressed this way. If you run CFX-Pre outside of ANSYS Workbench, then this is a cosmetic defect only. If you are running CFX-Pre from within ANSYS Workbench, then this defect can become a problem if there are physics errors that you cannot suppress. In the majority of cases, the presence of a physics error means that the case will not run in the CFX-Solver anyway. Occasionally (particularly when using beta features or custom files are being used), CFX-Pre can be too restrictive, and the physics error can be safely ignored. However, even when you know that a physics error can be ignored, you cannot go simply run the CFX-Solver (i.e. update the Solution cell) within Workbench, as it puts the Setup cell into a “Needs attention” state if physics errors are present. The usual way to avoid this problem is to suppress the physics error, but if it cannot be suppressed, then you cannot run the CFX-Solver under ANSYS Workbench in this case. A workaround for this exists in CFX-Pre by turning off physics validation for the case (use Case Options > General under the outline tree). Note that this will remove potentially useful messages, as well as one that normally cannot be suppressed, so it is only recommended once the problem setup is complete.
