FAQ
ParticipantThe constant volume burn – In cases where the fine details of the detonation within the explosive charge are of little significance, the chemical energy can be added to the initial values of the cell values of the explosive material and the starting conditions evaluated with the material still at rest and at its initial density. This method is often called “constant volume†detonation. This detonation method can be achieved in AUTODYN with the Detonation à Manual option and to define for the elements with explosive a large negative detonation time. The result is that at cycle 0 all elements will have fully been burned and have released their chemical energy.
