      In this demonstration, you’ll learn how to set up and solve a polymer extrusion problem in ANSYS AIM. For this particular example, we’ll examine the flow of a polymer melt as it is pushed, or extruded, through a three-dimensional die. As the polymer fluid is extruded out of the die, the free surface of the extrudate is exposed and begins to deform.
