Discovery 2020 R2 update – Webinar recording
Discovery Live and AIM update:
Ansys 2020 R2 improves Ansys Discovery Live simulation speeds — up to 65% — and includes enhancements in topology optimization to support frozen regions, one-sided pull constraints and acceleration and displacement loads. Learn more about these advances, and important updates to Ansys Discovery AIM, including:
- A new option for an exponential pressure-penetration relationship for frictionless and frictional contact, which improves solution convergence for large sliding and/or large initial penetration nonlinear contact problems
- Mesh optimization to provide more realistic joint behavior without need to manually split surfaces
- Physics-aware meshing enhancements to provide more flexibility for defining different mesh size functions for different parts of the model, which can be useful for conjugate heat transfer and shell/solid models
SpaceClaim update:
Check out the below webinar recording to learn more about Ansys SpaceClaim updates that support concept modeling and model prep for simulation, including:
- block recording and bidirectional CAD interfaces to allow replay of modeling operations on modified CAD geometry;
- constraint-based sketching that makes it easier to create complex sketches for 3D design; and
- autoskinning of topology optimization results from Ansys Mechanical for automated geometry reconstruction.
