This video demonstratres the use of Pull tool to create helix in Ansys Discovery. You need to define pitch, height and taper angle to generate the helix. We will also see an example where you can use this feature to cut helical grooves on the solid.
You can create a parametric helix using History Tracking in Ansys Discovery. Click on the button to activate History Tracking and follow the steps shown in the video above. After creating the geometry, you can click on the parameter icon to define the geometric parameters. To generate new geometry, change the parameter value and use the play button to create updated geometry.
