FAQ
ParticipantProblem: After installing Discovery products, following errors are observed when trying to launch the application.
Error:
ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR
No servers provided
ANSYSLI_SERVERS:
Error:
Cause:
The above errors are seen if a different licensing option is selected during installation against the license which you have.
The LICENSE MANAGER error appears if the licensing mode was selected as “Floating” during installation. Similarly, the “No Subscriptions” error appears if the licensing mode was selected as “Subscription” during installation.
Recommended Solution:
The above errors can be quickly fixed by switching the license mode. Go to Windows Start menu, ANSYS 19.2 folder and open “Discovery Licensing Mode Manager”. In this panel, select the appropriate license mode (refer below snapshot), then click Save and Exit.
Note: If the License Mode Manager is not available in Start Menu or if the panel cannot be edited to change the option, please go through below article for activating the License Manager.
