ANSYS SpaceClaim: When I do an assembly in SpaceClaim, what should I do if some parts are standard parts(in library)? Should I copy these standard parts into my project so I can let them in the library? the way I used is use the parts in the library (these parts are still in the library). But in this way the parts are not found when my co-worker opens the project.

SpaceClaim allows you to either have 1 file that contains all the parts, whether they are in a library or not. This is called an internal assembly. If you have this, all you have to do is send the 1 file to your coworkers. This is best when you don’t care about PLM and want it to be easy to share. To have a completely internal assembly, after you import parts from a library, right click at the top of the structure tree, SpaceClaim also allows you to have 1 file for the assembly, and separate files for the parts. This is called an external assembly. If you want to share the design, you have to share the file for the assembly, and the files for all the parts. This is useful for PLM or if you want the same part in different designs to be the same when you change 1. http://www.spaceclaim.com/en/Support/Tutorials/Modules.aspx As a starting point, please check out the first tutorial on the above page for a tutorial on the structure tree where you control what is external and external.
