So removing these supports without changing the part orientation might produce a build failure. With this in mind, first consider re-orienting the build part relative to the base plate to eliminate the need for the unwanted supports. If a customized support is needed and auto generation is inadequate, it is possible to take the resulting auto generated support geometry file from Additive Print into Spaceclaim or some other 3rd party CAD tool, merge it with the build part, modify the supporting geometry as desired, read back into the the Additive Print Session and suppress the auto generated support tool.
