      It recommended to use the ‘Discrete Random Walk’ model for capturing effects of turbulence while using DEM. Discrete Random walk should be switched on for all cases, RANS, LES and DNS. It should be included only when subgrid models are applied. Keywords: dem, drw, discrete random walk, les
