To modify a beam profile in SCDM, we right-click on the desired profile in the structure tree and we select “edit Beam Profile”. This opens the beam profile in a new design which we can modify. To modify the profile, we most likely need to use the Pull tool, which we can either “click and drag” to modify or “click and type” in the new dimension. Once the modification done, we can close the design; this automatically updates the beams we have assigned to the profile. Alternatively if we want to import your own beam profile. We will need to have a .scdoc containing the profile which is 3D and a profile face coloured. To import this profile, we go to Prepare ribbon under the Beams section > Profiles > More Profiles and we browse to the file location. Attached is a R2019R1 example model and a demo.
