SubscriberI understand that "Programming functionality (ZPL, ZOS-API, User Defined DLLs) is not supported" with the student version of Zemax. Does that mean if a company sends me a .zar file equipped with ZPL macros that they won't work as well?Â
Note: I'm working with a variable focus lens and am attempting to change the voltage applied to the lens to change the focal length. This voltage is updated via ZPL macros, per the document provided by the company. I'm using OpticStudio 2024 R2.02.

Ansys EmployeeThis is correct. The Student version has no ZPL functionality, including macro solves. The solve will be labeled as being in place with a Z in the solve box, and you can see the name of the macro OpticStudio wishes to call by clicking on the box, but nothing will be returned. The cell will populate with a zero, and to change it, you will need to take the solve off.
