Hello everyone,
I am currently working on generating a structured mesh for the S809 airfoil profile using the Ansys Student version (detailed images of the mesh are attached). However, I am encountering issues with maintaining an appropriate y+ value.
As I am using the k-omega SST turbulence model, it's essential to achieve a y+ value of 1 or less. For a y+ value of 1 in my case, the corresponding wall-normal spacing (y) should be 2.34e-5. Despite increasing the number of elements along various edges of the mesh, the maximum y value I can achieve is 5 e-4.
Is there a way to reach the required y value without using inflation layers, as I am working with a structured mesh?

Use inflation - there's a reason they're in the Meshing tools. No need to use a structured (mapped) mesh.
