Write Fluent outlet profile and read in another simulation as inlet

      Hello Everyone,

I have a lengthy geometry with there is long pipe at the start for the flow to be fully developed. I want to separte my geometry into two simulations where I would write the outlet profile with respect to time for my simulation 1. and then then read that profile as inlet for my second simulation.

I know how to write the profile at the end of the simulation 1. but it's not with time. which means I get constant values for my velocity magnitude, turbulance etc.

Would appreciate if anyone can assist on how to save my outlet profile for simulation 1, with respect to time and import it to my second simulation as inlet.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hello,

To write the profile with respect to time, you can try using execute commands at specified intervals of time. And while importing the profile data ensure that the co-ordinates of the outlet of initial domain and inlet of the secondary domain are same. Use inverse interpolation and use components in inlet BC instead of just velocity magnitude as a whole. Would be good if you could share the screenshots of contours at inlet, outlets and mesh.

Okay. I understand, But can you provide me the exact command for this or atleat the format for it.

      thanks.
