Workbench gets hanged when I open the Mesh

      Hello,


      I am using ANSYS FLUENT. After completing my design, when I open the meshing app, the workbench hangs.


      The meshing app opens, but my design is not uploaded and in the bottom left corner of the workbench it says " Starting meshing..." ; and I am not even able to close the meshing app or the workbench.


      This has happened several times. Is there a specific reason why is that happening to me.


      Kindly let me know the same.

      Does this issue happen every time with any project/model/geometry ?


      What is the OS version of the machine ?

      No. It does not happens every time. Sometimes, it happens when I close one project and open another project.


      Operating system is Windows 10 Pro

      if it's intermittent, then this is hard to say.


      If it happens when you close one and open another, I would recommend to make sure that the one that you close finish closing completely (wait for a while or you can check processes in Task Manager). Let us know if the issue persists after this.

      From last three days, it is happening each and every time I try to open a project. It's no longer intermittent.

      Can you open a blank (brand-new, no geometry attached) Design Modeler ?


      Check Windows Event Viewer -> Applications  ,  see if there is any event related to ANSYS


      Also, open up CMD Prompt, then issue the following command


      set


      and post the output of it here.


      Then, in the CMD Prompt, type


      dxdiag


      and post the screenshots of the first tab and 'Display' tab.


      This could also be an issue with Firewall or Anti-virus, try temporarily disabling them to test if it helps.
